Julio César Chávez is a retired Mexican professional boxer. He is a six-time world champion in three weight divisions. He began boxing as an amateur at the age of sixteen and then he moved to Culiacán to pursue a professional career. Chávez was known for his great punching power, overwhelming body attack and the persistent stalking of his opponents. He ranks #24 on ESPN's 50 Greatest Boxers Of All Time. His career spanned over twenty-five years.
