Antonio Margarito defeats Roberto Garcia
Written by Bob McGill Sunday, 09 May 2010 07:52

In his comeback fight after more than a year of having his license suspended, Mexico's Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 KOs) easily defeated Roberto Garcia (28-3, 21 KOs) via a 10 round unanimous decision at the La Feria de San Marcos, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Margarito knocked Garcia down in the 1st round and used his high workrate to totally dominate his over-matched opponent. Although Garcia appeared to be more heavily muscled, he was no match for the more talented and hard-hitting "Tijuana Tornado". The final scorecards were 99-89, 100-88 and 99-90.
