Is Amir Khan being ungrateful to Sky Sports?

Amir Khan smirking

Amir Khan decided to move his fight against Paul McCloskey from Sky Sports to Primetime. Last week, Sky Sports had announced that they have downgraded the fight from Pay-Per-View to free broadcasting, which will cause Khan to lose an estimated amount of £1 million. Khan's camp didn't like this, thus their decision to change broadcasters -- probably an attempt to squeeze every cent possible out of the match, though I doubt that this move will help them get more than 5,000 PPV buys.

Sky Sports pointed out that the reason for their decision was the lack of interesting undercard fights. They just couldn't say it direcly but I believe they have realized that even the main event, Khan-McCloskey is pure garbage. Amir is boring, has a glass chin, and only fights tomato cans. The only legit opponent he has on his resume is probably Marcos Maidana, who almost knocked him out if not for the bell.

Khan should stop being greedy because at this point, he has yet a lot to prove. Khan's ditching of Sky Sports is like biting the hand that feeds him. Sky Sports and Primtetime are great sports channels, and don't deserve a stinker like Khan. Amir Khan should go back to Pakistan and switch to Geo Super Live instead.

This move is a commercial suicide, and is the biggest mistake in Khan's career. Khan and his camp will regret their action. They make wrong move after another. First by terminating the services of Alex Ariza, and now being ungrateful to the company which greatly contributed to his decent public image.
