Is Froch too conceited that he worries about losing to Abraham in Germany?
Written by Thomas Clausen Thursday, 03 June 2010 16:57

Former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KOs) says he believes that he won't win a decision against Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KOs) if they fight in Germany. I don't think Froch should be so worried about losing to Abraham by a controversial decision, but instead, he should prepare himself for another humiliating defeat, and this time, by a brutal knockout at the hands of an obviously much stronger and more skilled opponent. The stage 3 of the Super Six tournament will resume in August, and I can see Carl pissing on his pants right now in trying to come up with excuses not to fight Arthur.
Froch should review tapes of Abraham's previous fights to realize that he doesn't really have to worry about losing by decision. Carl can then get a calculator and compute Arthur's knockout percentage -- that's 25 knockouts out of 31 fights. Froch should start focusing on how to finish the fight without getting knocked out, instead of arguing with the promoters as to where the fight should be held because Abraham will beat him anytime and anywhere. Abraham is not the kind of fighter that Froch is thinking about. Abraham will not come to the fight to win a decision. He will come there to knockout Froch within a blink of an eye.
Please don't think that I'm being biased and not giving Froch his due credit. I have to admit, Froch has some power of his own, but that also goes for me and you, my dear readers. The only problem I see for Froch on this fight is his slowness. He moves too slow, and I don't see any of his punches getting through Abraham's tight defense. What I see is a beaten Carl Froch being clobbered by a stronger and superior opponent yet again. I really hope Carl Froch comes back to his right senses, if he has ever been there before, so he will stop being silly because like you, I'm getting really annoyed by Carl's twisted behavior.
