Khan trying to intimidate Judah using Pacquiao
Written by Ranjit Kumar Saturday, 23 July 2011 05:22

WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan is playing mind games against his opponent Zab Judah prior to their fight on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Khan claims that he now has one of the toughest chins in all of boxing, which is kind of laughable because everyone knows that the chin cannot be hardened by any form of training or steroids. Once a glass chin, always a glass chin, that's what Amir Khan is.
The loud mouth British-Pakistani's chin has been doubted since his embarassing first round knockout loss to Breidis Prescott in 2008. He had also been knocked down by virtually-unknown fighters like Willie Limond and Michael Gomez. Many other boxing enthusiasts share my belief that the Pernell Whitaker-trained Zab Judah has a very good chance of wiping the floor with Khan's beautiful face.
"Freddie has to tell me to calm down in training. In sparring when I get hit with a clean shot by big guys who are 154 pounds, I get straight back at them. That's my style. I've proved I have probably got one of the best chins in the boxing business. I've been hit with huge shots in sparring. Manny's hit me with a clean back hand, his hardest shots, and I walked straight onto it and still stood there," said Khan.
Mr. Khan is clearly trying to intimidate Zab Judah using Pacquiao's name, but he forgot to realize that he is wearing a head gear during sparring sessions. If Pacquiao could take it easy on opponents like Margarito and Cotto, how much more for a friend like Khan? I don't think Manny Pacquiao would want to smash him to bits during sparring and be blamed for Khan's fight being canceled.
"Judah has been a good champion, but he's had his time and it's my time now. I'm the young one and I'm going to take his belt," Khan added.
