Lennox Lewis believes Klitschko will beat Haye

Lennox Lewis

Former heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis believes Wladimir Klitschko will beat David Haye on Saturday night unification bout. "My heart says David, but my head says Wladimir," Lewis said.

Lewis pointed out that although Haye has the power and talent to knockout the IBF/WBO champion, the Ukrainian has an excellent jab, better experience and one of the top boxing trainers in Emanuel Steward.

It is just about right that Lewis will favor his countryman David Haye in his heart but he has the right to be worried especially that Haye's camp has already been complaining about the choice of referee.

Henaro Hernandez, who has handled four of Klitschko's world title fights, was chosen to referee the fight which will take place in Hamburg, Germany. Lewis agrees that Haye's camp has the right to complain.

It is quite odd since Haye had repeatedly said before that all he needs is a referee who can count up to ten. Reviewing fights that Hernandez had previously officiated, it seems that the referee can even handle Calculus.

Haye should focus on this fight and stop whining about the referee because it becomes very obvious that he's just making pre-fight excuses for losing to a better man. I expect Klitschko to obliterate Haye's face with sharp painful jabs.
