Timothy Bradley: Stop running Khan!
Written by Ranjit Kumar Friday, 25 February 2011 08:03

WBC and WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley and WBA champion Amir Khan have been throwing verbal slurs against each other recently. Bradley accused Khan of running away from him, and said on HBO After Dark after the Donaire-Montiel fight: "Tell Amir Khan to stop running. Stop running Khan!". Khan responded that he isn't actually ducking Bradley, and that the only thing that worries him is Bradley using his head during fights.
Bradley reacted to Khan's comments and laughed at Amir's statement regarding the headbutts. "It sounds like Khan is already looking for excuses for why he is going to lose the fight. He's talking about headbutts. All it sounds like is an excuse," Bradley said. "Khan can call me the Big Head Belt Collector. On July 23rd I will add a third belt to my collection," Bradley added.
Golden Boy Promotions and Gary Shaw have reached a verbal agreement for a unification bout between their fighters on July 23 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The formal contract has yet to be made and signed by Bradley and Khan, and Amir must also defeat Paul McCloskey on April 16 before his glass chin can even start worrying about Bradley's gigantic head. If that fight ever happens, expect it to be a stinking one.
