Andre Ward (25-0, 13 KOs) put on a boxing clinic and beat a surprised Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs) via a one-sided unanimous decision to win the Super Six Boxing Classic tournament, WBA, WBC and Ring super middleweight titles. The official judges' scores were 115-113, 115-113 and 118-110. More surprisingly, even British boxing commentators had Ward winning by five and six points on two score cards.

Amir Tomato Khan

The International Boxing Federation had decided not to order an immediate rematch between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan. Peterson snatched both the IBF and WBA light welterweight titles from Khan last weekend. Khan and his camp appealed to the IBF, WBA and the Washington State Athletic Commission to try to reverse what they claim to be a bad hometown decision, or at least force Peterson to agree to an immediate rematch.

Lamot Peterson beats Amir Khan

Since his split decision loss to Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KOs) last weekend in Washington, Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KOs) couldn't stop crying foul. Khan and his camp think he had been a victim of bad hometown decision so they insist that there should be a match. Golden Boy Promotions offered Peterson to fight Khan in the UK but the latter prefers to fight his conqueror at a neutral venue like Las Vegas.

Miguel Cotto wants another shot at Manny Pacquiao, believes he will win in the rematch

Miguel Cotto wants rematch against Manny Pacquiao

WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30 KOs) said he is confident he will beat Manny Pacquiao should there be a rematch between them. The Puerto Rican superstar is fresh from a TKO victory over Antonio Margarito last December 3 at the Madison Square Garden in New York. With the win, Cotto avenged his loss to the Mexican fighter when they first fought back in July 2008. Cotto is very eager to avenge his only other defeat, a TKO loss to Manny Pacquiao in November 2009.

Antonio Margarito was robbed of a chance to win

Written by Miguel Perez Sunday, 04 December 2011 07:47

Miguel Cotto TKOs Antonio Margarito

It was another sad case of a clear robbery in boxing when the ringside doctors stopped the fight, depriving Antonio Margarito of a chance for victory. The right eye of Margarito may have swollen shut but he was clearly gaining momentum during the second half of the fight while Miguel Cotto was obviously starting to get tired. It was a clear case of conspiracy against a great fighter who was wrongfully accused of using illegal hand wraps during his first fight against the same opponent.
