Written by Thomas Clausen Sunday, 18 December 2011 05:13

Andre Ward (25-0, 13 KOs) put on a boxing clinic and beat a surprised Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs) via a one-sided unanimous decision to win the Super Six Boxing Classic tournament, WBA, WBC and Ring super middleweight titles. The official judges' scores were 115-113, 115-113 and 118-110. More surprisingly, even British boxing commentators had Ward winning by five and six points on two score cards.
Bad news after bad news for Amir Khan
Written by Ranjit Kumar Friday, 16 December 2011 23:28

The International Boxing Federation had decided not to order an immediate rematch between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan. Peterson snatched both the IBF and WBA light welterweight titles from Khan last weekend. Khan and his camp appealed to the IBF, WBA and the Washington State Athletic Commission to try to reverse what they claim to be a bad hometown decision, or at least force Peterson to agree to an immediate rematch.

Khan and his camp think he had been a victim of bad hometown decision so they insist that there should be a match. Golden Boy Promotions offered Peterson to fight Khan in the UK but the latter prefers to fight his conqueror at a neutral venue like Las Vegas.
